On September 28th and 29th, the first two-day workshop on the module of Rule of Law in this year’s European Integration School was held in the Center for Civil Energy in Mitrovica.

On the first day, Dina Rakin and Aleksandar Bogdanovic from the European Movement in Serbia, held an interactive workshop on the process of creating public policies, tools and evaluation. They focused on determining phases, participants and instruments, the role of civil society in the process of creating public policies and the modes of monitoring and evaluation. In the end, the attendants had the task of making a practical work on this topic.

On the second day – September 29th – the first lectures on the watchdog civil society activities in Kosovo were held by Sanja Sovrlic, the editor of the platform Black and White World and Miodrag Milicevic, the executive director of the NGO Aktiv. Each of the speakers discussed civic activism and socially responsible activities from their own experience and perspective, emphasizing the role of CSOs in the democratization of society in the north of Kosovo.

In the second part of the day, Tatjana Lazarević, the editor of the portal KoSSev, and Beljulj Bećaj, an analyst and professor of political science, presented their rich experiences and knowledge in the field of monitoring, analysis and reporting on the implementation of the Brussels Agreement.

This is the fifth cycle of the School of European Integration supported by Kosovo Foundation for an Open Society (KFOS), implemented in cooperation with the NGO European Movement in Serbia and NGO Communication for the Development of Society implementing the Environmental Protection Module from Gračanica.
